What "Private Label" Means at Steve's Goods

Private label = your brand + your formulation + our manufacturing. You specify the CBG potency, whether the product is isolate or a CBD+CBG blend, the flavor, the color approach (natural or FD&C), the container count, and the packaging. We build it.

Compare with white label — which puts your brand on one of our existing CBG formulations. White label is faster and cheaper. Private label gives you a truly differentiated SKU.

What You Control on a Private Label Run

CBG Potency

Any milligram value from 2.5mg to 50mg CBG per gummy. 5/10/20mg are standard; anything else is a custom run. Isolate or CBD+CBG blend.

CBD:CBG Ratio

On blends, specify any ratio. 1:1 Daytime and 2:1 Balance are standard; 3:1, 4:1, and CBG-led inversions (1:2, 1:3) are common custom specs.

Flavor

Choose from 16 stock flavors or specify a custom flavor. Custom flavor development adds 2–3 weeks to the run. Natural or artificial color source.

Gummy Shape

Cube is our default. Bear, worm, and ring shapes are available with additional mold-setup cost. Standard runs ship in cube shape.

Container Count

10, 20, 30, 45, 75, or 100 gummies per container. Container count affects per-container total-THC math — we'll flag if a choice puts you over the H.R. 5371 line.

Packaging

Your artwork on resealable stand-up pouches (default) or jars. Child-resistant zipper option. Custom printed mylar, rigid boxes, or jars at volume tiers.

What We Handle

Formulation development. Our team translates your spec into a production recipe. We flag compliance constraints before production starts.
CBG isolate sourcing. Third-party-tested, COA-verified isolate from vetted domestic suppliers. We've been sourcing CBG since the category's early days.
Manufacturing. Hand-made in our 10,000 sq ft Louisville facility. Vegan pectin base. Organic tapioca syrup, distilled water.
Batch-level COA. Third-party lab, full cannabinoid panel + safety testing (heavy metals, pesticides, residual solvents, microbial). You get the COA with the order.
Label artwork placement. Submit print-ready artwork; we handle application. Design services available for an add-on fee.
Regulatory alignment. All formulations are built to stay under 0.4mg total THC per finished container, aligned with H.R. 5371 and the tightest state-level per-container rules.

Private Label Timeline

Week 1 — Spec & Quote

You submit a private-label brief. We return a quote with per-unit cost, compliance notes, and a production timeline. COA samples of comparable production runs shared for validation.

Week 2–3 — Formulation Approval

We finalize the formulation, confirm CBG isolate supply, and lock the production schedule. PO or proforma invoice issued. Deposit confirms the run.

Week 4–8 — Production & Testing

Batch production in Louisville. Post-production third-party lab testing. COA returned. Rework only if anything fails the compliance threshold.

Week 9–10 — Packaging & Ship

Your artwork applied. Product packed to your container spec. Order ships. Typical total runway: 6–10 weeks on a first private-label run; 4–6 weeks on reorders.

MOQ: 500 gummies on a private-label run. Custom packaging, custom flavors, and custom shapes may have higher MOQs at the component level.
